365 project.

So I decided that I would celebrate the arrival of our new point n’ shoot camera by embarking on a 365-day journey to capture 1 creative, interesting photo a day. This means no snapshots either! I’m looking to tap into some creativity and the reason I began my photography career as a way to share my experience of the world.

By bringing my camera along with me I hope to inject some more passion for life and further disprove the notion that life can be dull or uninteresting. There is always something interesting happening, and now I have no excuse not to document & share it! Life can move very quickly – I can hardly believe we’re coming up on the end of 2009 already. Sometimes it is difficult to remember even what I was doing two weeks ago! I also hope that this project will help me to document & celebrate my life, friends, family and the beauty that surrounds me….to really slow down and notice what is going on around me, rather than rushing from place to place.

I’ll post some of my favorites here on the blog as I move along, but if you’d like to follow along or even join me by doing a project of your own – please follow our facebook fan page to see em all!

I’ll kick it off with a photo I captured last night on the hill above our house of the Honolulu skyline. It is a breathtaking view and one that I admit I don’t stop to enjoy more often.
